The first and my favorite is the expression through music.  Music is the most popular of all avenues of expression.  It has been around since man was put on this earth.  As we have evolved through the ages so has the genres of music evolved with us.  Many different styles and flavors for allow us to choose how and what we are feeling at any given time. 

I am also a musician and depending on what and how I feel in any moment, the type and style of music I play reflects it.  As a musician, though, I enjoy almost all genres of music.  My favorites styles are Latin jazz, R&B, and salsa.  These are just very few of what’s out there and many of you know and understand that this is a very cool way to either relax, unwind, or just express yourself.

The second form of expression I like to use is poetry.  This is one of my most difficult types of expression but I enjoy it both for the challenge and the outcome of being able to create something that someone else can relate to.  I love poetry in all shapes and forms because it is a form of verbal expression that can truely penetrate the heart, the mind, and the soul.  A few of my favorite poets are William Shakespeare, William Blake, Emily Dickinson, and Robert Frost to name some of the greats.

The reason i chose these writers is for their styles.  Each one is different from the other and yet they are the same.  When you read their work and concentrate on what they are saying, you find yourself in the mist of what is happening in the poem.  When you can are able to see yourself in the character’s place and are able to feel what the character is feeling, that is true artistic talent.
